Pesto (April 2021)

Pasta with basil pesto very simple and delicious. Pesto from olive oil basil nuts and Parmesan
Basil, Parmesan, and Pine Nut Sauce

Serve over pasta

Use the most fragrant basil, the best olive oil and Parmesan available.

2 Cups fresh basil leaves
2 Garlic cloves chopped
1/2 Cup freshly grated Parmesan, preferably Parmigiano-Reggiano
2/3 Cup extra virgin olive oil
1/4 Cup pine nuts
Salt and pepper

In a food processor or blender, combine all the ingredients and blend until thoroughly combined.  Makes about 1 1/2 cups.
