4 Cups sliced apples
1/4 Cup water
I Teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 Teaspoon salt
1 Cup sugar
3/4 Cup sifted flour
1/3 Cup softened butter
Directions:
Heat oven to 350
Spread apples in an 8-inch square pan. Sprinkle with water, cinnamon and salt. Work the sugar, flour and butter together with a pastry blender or by hand until crumbly. Spread crumb mixture over apples and bake uncovered for approximately forty minutes.
Serve with ice cream.
